Bishop State set the tone early with a 61-point first half and never looked back, shooting an impressive 59 percent from the floor for the game. Five Wildcats reached double figures, led by Maylon Martes, who poured in 32 points and added 10 rebounds for a double-double, while Tramello Carter followed with 27 points and eight rebounds. Vophcy Prophete chipped in 23 points, Nathadeus Fambro added 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench, and Zion Mitchell rounded out the scoring leaders with 12 points and four assists.
Bishop State's offensive efficiency was on full display as the Wildcats connected on 62.5 percent of their three-point attempts and dominated the paint with 64 points inside. Carter knocked down four three-pointers and handed out four assists, while Prophete was nearly flawless, shooting 9-of-12 from the field. The Wildcats also took advantage of Southern Union turnovers, scoring 34 points off giveaways and maintaining constant pressure on both ends of the floor to extend the margin throughout the second half.
With the win, Bishop State improves to 6–3 in conference play and extends its winning streak to six games, during which the Wildcats have won by an average of 20 points. The victory places Bishop State in a three-way tie for first place in the conference standings, setting up a pivotal road matchup on Thursday at Shelton State Buccaneers. A win in Tuscaloosa would give the Wildcats sole possession of first place, as they look to carry their momentum into the final stretch of the regular season.
