Wildcats Go 1-1 On Road Trip
The Lady Wildcats traveled to both Snead State and Southern Union for their first road trip of the season. They return home finishing 1-1 facing another close match with Snead falling 3-2 while defeating Southern Union the very next day 3-1.

The Lady Wildcats traveled to both Snead State and Southern Union for their first road trip of the season. They return home finishing 1-1 after having another close match with Snead State falling 3-2, while defeating Southern Union the very next day 3-1.
BOAZ, ALABAMA – The Lady Wildcats had a chance to avenge their season ending loss to Snead State, but fell short again in similar efforts to last season. "Our offense was on fire, but our defense, not so much." Said Coach Keshock.
Both squads traded sets as Snead State won the first 25-22, Bishop State took the second one 25-20, Snead State 25-19 in the third, Bishop State won the fourth 25-20 and finally Snead State won the final set 15-12. Last year's semifinal match went to 5 with Snead State winning the final set 15-10.
Breunna Crawford, Jalei Jomalon and Zoe Van Rijn finished with double-doubles. Crawford had 15 kills and 11 digs, Jomalon with a huge 57 assists and 16 digs, while Van Rijn racked up 17 kills and 10 digs. Ma'Kayla Jones came up big with 22/28 kills at .607. Tryneti Chatman finished with 16 digs as well.
WADLEY, ALABAMA – After a tough loss to Snead State, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Southern Union for another ACCC Conference match up. Bishop State would take down Southern Union 3-1 in their second match in back-to-back days.
The Lady Wildcats seemed to be in another tough one early on as they split the first two sets, winning the first set 25-19, while falling in the second 21-25. The third set was a tough one but Bishop State came out on top 25-23 and in the final set the Lady Wildcats were on point in a 25-16 victory.
Jalei Jomalon was the only Bishop State player with a double-double finishing with 45 helpers and 10 digs for third consecutive double-double on the season. Ma'Kayla Jones was the only Lady Wildcat with double digit kills with 17 (.323). There were four players with double digit digs. Tryneti Chatman led the way with 17, Breunna Crawford with 15, Jalei Jomalon and Zoe Van Rijn both with 10.
The Lady Wildcats will travel to Bevill State on September 6th before returning home on September 7th to take on Enterprise State.
